Introduction
IL-12 is a heterodimeric cytokine that stimulates the production of interferon gamma from T-cells and natural killer cells, and also induces differentiation of Th1 helper cells. IL-12 is an initiator of cell-mediated immunity.

A glycosylated disulfide linked heterodimeric polypeptide containing 503 amino acids and having a molecular weight of 75 kDa comprised of disulfide-bonded 35 kDa (p35) and 40 kDa (p40) subunits.
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Interleukin-12 in sterile 18 M?-cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Purity > 98%, by SDS-PAGE and RP-HPLC.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution (0.5 ug/ml) in PBS, pH 7.4.
Reconstitution: Measured by its ability to stimulate the proliferation of PHA-activated human T lymphoblasts. The ED50 for this effect is 0.3-0.5 ug/ml corresponding to a specific activity of 2-3.3 MU/mg.
Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
