Introduction
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM) family. All ICAM proteins are type I transmembrane glycoproteins, contain 2-9 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains, and bind to the leukocyte adhesion LFA-1 protein. This protein may play a role in lymphocyte recirculation by blocking LFA-1-dependent cell adhesion. It mediates adhesive interactions important for antigen-specific immune response, NK-cell mediated clearance, lymphocyte recirculation, and other cellular interactions important for immune response and surveillance. Several transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.

Recombinant Human Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 2 (ICAM2) Protein is a secreted protein with sequence (Lys25-Pro275) of Human ICAM2 fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
Purity: > 95% by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin: < 0.1 ng/ug (1 EU/ug).
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl, 2 mM CaCl2, 2 mM MgCl2, 5% threhalose, pH 7.2.
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
