Introduction
Hemoglobin Subunit Zeta (HBZ) is a member of the Globin family. The zeta chain is an alpha-type chain of mammalian embryonic Hemoglobin that is synthesized primarily in the yolk sac of the early embryo, while alpha-globin is produced throughout fetal growth and adult life. The HBZ gene consists of five functional genes and two pseudogenes, the order of genes is 5-zeta-pseudozeta-mu-pseudoalpha-1-alpha-2-alpha-1-theta-1-3.

Recombinant Human HBZ protein is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 150 amino acids (1-142 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 16.7 kDa. The HBZ is fused to an 8 amino acid His Tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Purity: > 90% by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The HBZ solution contains 20 mM Tris-HCl pH-8, 1 mM DTT, 0.1 M NaCl and 20% glycerol.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
