Introduction
GroEL protein is the major heat shock protein of E.coli and belongs to the chaperonin (HSP60) family. GroEL protein prevents misfolding of proteins and promotes the refolding and proper assembly of unfolded polypeptiedes generated under stress condition. GroEL gene was amplified by PCR from E.coli and cloned into an expression vector. This protein was overexpressed in E.coli and was purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Recombinant Human GroEL, HSP60 protein is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain fused to a 20 a.a. His tag at N-terminus containing 593 amino acids (1-573 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 63 kDa. Recombinant Human GroEL, HSP60 protein is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Purity: > 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The GroEL protein contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer pH-8.0, 5 mM DTT and 10% Glycerol.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
