Introduction
ERCC1 polypeptide is essential for nucleotide excision repair (NER) of damaged DNA and is homologous to Saccharomyces cerevisiae RAD10, which takes part in repair and mitotic intra-chromosomal recombination. NER mechanism includes dual incisions on both sides of the damage catalyzed by two nucleases. In mammalian cells XPG cleaves 3' of the DNA lesion while the ERCC1-XPF complex makes the 5' incision. Raised levels of ERCC1 were also found in cisplatin-resistant cells.

A single polypeptide chain containing 297 amino acids (1-273) and having a molecular mass of 32.5 kDa. ERCC1 is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus.
Purity: > 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The ERCC1 solution (0.5 mg/ml) contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 100 mM NaCl, 1 mM DTT and 20% glycerol.
