Introduction
COAA is a member of the prokaryotic pantothenate kinase family and it is the first enzyme in the Coenzyme A biosynthetic pathway. COAA phosphorylates pantothenate (vitamin B5) to form 4'-phosphopantothenate. The key factor controlling the intracellular CoA concentration is the regulation of COAA activity by feedback inhibition.

A single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 340 amino acids (1-316) and having a molecular mass of 38.9 kDa. COAA is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus.
Purity: > 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The COAA solution (1 mg/ml) contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 200 mM NaCl, 2 mM DTT and 10% glycerol.
