Introduction
APIP catalyzes the dehydration of methylthioribulose-1-phosphate (MTRu-1-P) into 2,3-diketo-5-methylthiopentyl-1-phosphate (DK-MTP-1-P). APIP has an anti-apoptotic function and inhibits muscle ischemic impairment. APIP inhibits the cytochrome c-dependent and APAF1-mediated cell death.

Recombinant Human APAF1 interacting protein (APIP) is a single polypeptide chain containing 266 amino acids (1-242) and having a molecular mass of 29.7 kDa.
APIP is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Purity: > 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The APIP solution (0.5 mg/ml) contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 1 mM DTT and 20% glycerol.
