Introduction
Annexin A8 (ANXA8) belongs to a family of calcium-dependent membrane and phospholipid binding proteins. Annexin A8 contains 4 annexin repeats separated by linking sequences of variable lengths. A pair of annexin repeats may form one binding site for calcium and phospholipid. ANXA8 is preferentially expressed in acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) cells, which suggests its participation in hematopoietic cell differentiation. In addition, ANXA8 is an anticoagulant protein that acts as an indirect inhibitor of the thromboplastin-specific complex, which is involved in the blood coagulation cascade. <

Recombinant Human Annexin A8 is a signle, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 347 amino acids (1-327 a.a.)and having a total molecular mass of 39 kDa. ANXA8 is fused to a 20 amino acid His Tag at N-terminus and is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Predicted molecular mass: 39 kDa.
Purity: > 90.0% by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The ANXA8 1 ug/ml protein solution contains 20 mM Tris-HCL pH-8, 1 mM DTT, 1 mM EDTA, 0.1 M NaCl and 10% Glycerol.
