Introduction
Alcohol dehydrogenase 6 (ADH6) belongs to the alcohol dehydrogenase family. Alcohol dehydrogenase family members metabolize a wide variety of substrates, including ethanol, retinol, other aliphatic alcohols, hydroxysteroids, and lipid peroxidation products. ADH6 is expressed in the stomach as well as in the liver, and it contains a glucocorticoid response element upstream of its 5?UTR, which is a steroid hormone receptor binding site.

A single polypeptide chain containing 399 amino acids (1-375) and having a molecular mass of 42.4 kDa. ADH6 is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus.
Purity: > 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The ADH6 solution (0.5 mg/ml) contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 30% glycerol, 0.15 M NaCl and 1 mM DTT.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
