Introduction
Flagellar calcium-binding protein (Protein FcaBP) is a protein which may be involved in swift motility of Trypanosoma, having an imperative role in flagellar structure and calcium metabolism, as it exhibits 4 EF-hand type (helix-loop-helix) structural domains, of which 3 may contain calcium-binding sites. Calcium has a vital role in the motility of Trypanosoma. The subcellular localization of Protein FcaBP is in the flagella of T. cruzi.
BP002830-CCH-002: Recombinant 1F8 Chagas
Source: E. coli-derived.
A polypeptide chain having a total of 234 a.a (includes his tag). The protein is fused to a 6-His tag having a total Mw of 25.8 kDa and a theoretical pI of 5.39.
Purity: >90% pure as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: 1F8 Chagas antigen was lyophilized from 20 mM Hepes, 300 mM NaCl, pH-8, and varying 284 mM imidazole.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized 1F8 Chagas protein in sterile distilled pyrogen free water at 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Applications: Reacts with sera from infected patients, Useful for immunoassays.
