Introduction
Toll-Like Receptor 2 (TLR2) belongs to the Toll-like receptor family. TLR2 is expressed in many cells and tissues including monocytes, bone marrow, lymph node and the spleen; it is highly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes. TLR2 cooperates with LY96 to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipoproteins and other microbial cell wall components. It interacts with TLR1 to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipoproteins or lipopeptides. In addition, TLR2 acts via MYD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. TLR2 may also promote apoptosis in response to lipoproteins.

Recombinant Human Toll-Like Receptor 2 (TLR2) Protein is expressed with sequence (Glu21-Leu590) of Human TLR2 fused with a poly-histidine tag at the C-terminus.
Purity: > 95% by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin: < 0.1 ng/ug (1 IEU/ug).
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.4.
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
