Background Information:
Ponatinib is a potent, orally active and multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor for BCR-ABL, FGFRs, Flt-3, TIE2 and VEGFRs. Ponatinib is primarily used as an inhibitor of pan-BCR-ABL (and mutant forms) and pan-FGFR for treatment of hematological cancers.
