Background
Neurotrophin-3 is a member of a family of neurotrophic factors, that is closely related to both nerve growth factor and brain derived neurotrophic factor. These proteins are involved in the maintenance of the adult nervous system and affect development of neurons in the embryo when it is expressed in human placenta. NT3 deficient mice generated by gene targeting display severe movement defects of the limbs.

Specificity/Sensitivity: Human, mouse, rat. No cross reactivity with other proteins.
Applications: Western blot: At 1-2ug/ml with the appropriate system to detect NT-3 in cells and tissues. Immunohistochemistry(P): At 0.5-1 ug/ml to detect NT-3in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues.
Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide mapping at the middle region of human neurotrophin-3, identical to the related rat and mouse sequence.
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Form of Antibody: Each vial contains 50% glycerol, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.
Isotype: Rabbit IgG.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
