Description

Introduction
Lumican, also known as LUM and LDC, is a 40 kDa secreted protein which belongs to the small leucine-rich repeat proteoglycans (SLRPs) and the class II subfamily. Human Lumican is synthesized as a 338 amino acid precursor then cut the 18 aa signal sequence. The mature Human Lumican contains 12 leucine-rich repeats (LRRs), 4 potential sites of N-linked glycosylation, and a C- terminal with two conserved cyst-eines. Lumican can be existed in extracellular matrix of human articular cartilage. Lumican participates in the maintenance of tissue homeostasis and regulates cellular functions in vivo, such as cell proliferation, adhesion, migration, and differentiation. The overexpression of lumican has been correlated to colorectal tumor, breast, neuroendocrine, and pancreatic cancers.

BP001355-C372: Recombinant Human Lumican (LUM) Protein

Source: HEK 293-derived.
Recombinant Human Lumican (LUM) Protein is a secreted protein with sequence (Gln19-Asn338) of Human Lumican fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
Predicted molecular mass: 40 kDa.
Purity: > 95% by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin: < 0.1 ng/ug (1 IEU/ug).
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl, 1 mM EDTA, pH 7.2.
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied.
1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution
