Source: The monoclonal antibody ibalizumab biosimilar was produced in mammalian cells.
Specificity/Sensitivity: The monoclonal antibody ibalizumab biosimilar specifically binds to the human CD4 protein.
Applications: ELISA, neutralization, functional assays such as bioanalytical PK and ADA assays, and those assays for studying biological pathways affected by ibalizumab.

What is ibalizumab biosimilar research grade? Ibalizumab Biosimilar uses the same protein sequences as the therapeutic antibody ibalizumab which is a non-immunosuppressive humanised monoclonal antibody that binds CD4, the primary receptor for HIV, and inhibits HIV from entering cells. It is a post-attachment inhibitor, blocking HIV from binding to the CCR5 and CXCR4 co-receptors after HIV binds to the CD4 receptor on the surface of a CD4 cell.
