Source: recombinant human NKG2C&CD94 heterodimer protein was expressed in mammalian cells with a His tag and Avi at the N-terminus. NKG2C (Glu 98 - Leu 231) & CD94 (Ser 34 - Ile 179).
Accession: P26717/Q13241
Predicted molecular mass: 15.3&17.9 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the recombinant human NKG2C&CD94 heterodimer protein migrates to 30-50 kDa based on the Bis-Tris PAGE result.
Endotoxin: Less than 1 EU per ug by the LAL method.
Formulation: The recombinant human NKG2C&CD94 heterodimer protein was lyophilized from 0.22 um filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 5% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.
Purity: > 95% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice packs. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage:
Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied.
1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Background
CD94/NKG2 is a family of C-type lectin receptors which are expressed predominantly on the surface of NK cells and a subset of CD8+ T-lymphocyte. These receptors stimulate or inhibit cytotoxic activity of NK cells, therefore they are divided into activating and inhibitory receptors according to their function. CD94/NKG2 recognize nonclassical MHC glycoproteins class I.
