Description

Introduction
Hepatocyte cell adhesion molecule, also known as HEPACAM, is a single-pass type I membrane protein that localizes to the cytoplasmic side of the cell membrane. HEPACAM includes a signal sequence (aa 1-33), an extracellular region (aa 34-240) with one Ig-like C2-type domain and one Ig-like V-type domain, a transmembrane segment (aa 241-261), and a cytoplasmic domain (aa 262 - 416). The cytoplasmic domain plays an important role in regulation of cell-matrix adhesion and cell motility. HEPACAM acts as a homodimer and dimer formation occurs predominantly through cis interactions on the cell surface. HEPACAM is involved in cell motility and cell-matrix interactions. The expression of this gene is down-regulated or undetectable in many cancer cell lines, so this may be a tumor suppressor gene.

BP001402-C522: Recombinant Human Hepatocyte cell adhesion molecule (HEPACAM) Protein

Source: HEK 293-derived.
Recombinant Human Hepatocyte cell adhesion molecule (HEPACAM) Protein is a secreted protein with sequence (Val34 -Ser240) of Human HEPACAM fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
Purity: > 95% by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin: < 0.1 ng/ug (1 IEU/ug).
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.2.
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
