Introduction
Glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored high density lipoprotein-binding protein 1, also known as High density lipoprotein-binding protein 1, HBP1 and GPIHBP1, is a single-pass membrane protein which contains one UPAR/Ly6 domain. GPIHBP1 Localizes at the cell surface. GPIHBP1 is a capillary endothelial cell protein that provides a platform for LPL-mediated processing of chylomicrons. GPIHBP1 plays a key role in the lipolytic processing of chylomicrons.
