Background
Carcinoembryonic antigen is a complex immunoreactive glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 180,000 comprising 60% carbohydrate. It is found in adenocarcinomas of endodermally derived digestive system epithelia and in fetal colon.Carcinoembryonic antigen is one of the most widely used tumor markers in serum immunoassay determinations of carcinoma.

Specificity/Sensitivity: Human. No cross reactivity with other proteins.
Applications: Western blot: At 0.5-1 ug/ml with the appropriate system to detect CEA in cells and tissues. Immunohistochemistry(P): At 0.5-2?g/ml to detect CEA in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues.
Reactivity: Human.
Immunogen: Human. No cross reactivity with other proteins.
Purification: Purified by the goat anti-mouse IgG affinity chromatography.
Form of Antibody: Lyophilized from 1.2% sodium acetate, with 2 mg BSA and 0.01 mg NaN3 as preservative.
Clone: CEA-9.
Isotype: Mouse IgG1.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
