Description

Introduction
B-cell lymphoma 6 protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the BCL6 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is an evolutionarily conserved zinc finger transcription factor and contains an N-terminal POZ/BTB domain. This protein acts as a sequence-specific repressor of transcription, and has been shown to modulate the STAT-dependent Interleukin 4 (IL-4) responses of B cells. This protein can interact with several corepressor complexes to inhibit transcription. This gene is found to be frequently translocated and hypermutated in diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and contributes to the pathogenesis of DLBCL. An exon 7 skipping splice variant encodes a shorter form of the protein which lacks the first two zinc fingers of the DNA binding domain.

PA000948-B8299: Bcl-6 (Ab-333) Polyclonal Antibody

Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody.
Specificity/Sensitivity: Bcl-6 (Ab-333) antibody detects endogenous levels of total Bcl-6 protein.
Applications: WB: 1:500~1:1000 ELISA: 1:40000.
Reactivity: Human,Mouse, Rat.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized non-phosphopeptide derived from human Bcl-6 around the phosphorylation site of serine 333 (P-Q-SP-P-Q).
Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
Form of Antibody: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
