Introduction:
Histone chaperone ASF1A, also known as anti-silencing function protein 1 homolog A, CCG1-interacting factor A , CGI-98 and HSPC146, belongs to the H3/H4 family of histone chaperone proteins. ASF1A is ubiquitously expressed in many cells and tissues, interacting with histones H3 and H4. ASF1A cooperates with chromatin assembly factor 1 to promote replication-dependent chromatin assembly and with HIRA to promote replication-independent chromatin assembly. In addition, ASF1A is necessary for the formation of senescence-associated heterochromatin foci (SAHF) and efficient senescence-associated cell cycle exit.

Recombinant Human Anti-silencing function protein 1 homolog A (ASF1A) Protein is expressed with sequence (Met1-Met204) of Human ASF1A fused with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.
Purity: > 95% by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin: < 0.1 ng/ug (1 IEU/ug).
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of 20 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM DTT, 150 mM NaCl, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
