Source: The anti-human CD56 monoclonal antibody (clone: N901) was produced in mammalian cells.
Specificity/Sensitivity: The in vivo grade recombinant mouse monoclonal antibody (clone: N901) specifically binds to the human CD56 protein.
Applications: ELISA, flow cytometry, neutralization, functional assays such as bioanalytical PK and ADA assays, and those assays for studying biological pathways affected by the human CD56 protein.
Form of Antibody: 0.2 uM filtered solution, pH 7.4, no stabilizers or preservatives.

Background
The recombinant N901 antibody binds to the human CD56 protein, a homophilic binding glycoprotein expressed on the surface of neurons, glia and skeletal muscle. CD56 is a marker of neural lineage commitment. CD56 expression is found in the hematopoietic system, natural killer cells, and other lymphoid cells, including gamma delta (γδ) Τ cells and activated CD8+ T cells, as well as on dendritic cells. CD56 has a role in cell–cell adhesion, neurite outgrowth, synaptic plasticity, and learning and memory.
