Introduction
Human interleukin family 1, member 6 (hIL-1F6 / FIL1-epsilon) belongs to the interleukin 1 cytokine family. IL1F6 is expressed in the immune system and the fetal brain, but not in other tissues tested or in multiple hematopoietic cell lines. IL1F6 is the only IL-1 family member found to be expressed on T-cells. IL1F6 functions via receptor complex of IL-1Rrp2 and IL-1RAcP. The recombinant IL1F6, along with IL1F8 and IL1F9, acts as an agonist by activating the pathway involving NF-?B and MAPK in an IL-1Rrp2 dependent manner.

A single, non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 158 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 17.7kDa.
As measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA, immobilized IL1F6 at 1ug/ml (100 l/well) can bind rHuIL-1 Rrp2/Fc Chimera with a linear range of 0.15- 5ug/ml.
Purity: > 95% by SDS-PAGE and RP-HPLC.
Formulation: IL1F6 was lyophilized after extensive dialysis against 20 mM Phosphate buffer, pH7.4.
