Introduction
IL-1 alpha is produced by activated macrophages, stimulates thymocyte proliferation by inducing il-2 release, b-cell maturation and proliferation, and fibroblast growth factor activity. IL1A proteins are involved in the inflammatory response, being identified as endogenous pyrogens, and are reported to stimulate the release of prostaglandin and collagenase from synovial cells.

Recombinant Mouse Interleukin-1 alpha (IL-1α) Protein is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 156 amino acids with a molecular mass of 18,000 Daltons.
N-terminal sequence analysis: Ser-Ala-Pro-Tyr-Thr.
Predicted molecular mass: 18000 Dalton.
Purity: > 95% by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of 50 mM Tris-HCl, 200 mM NaCl, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
